The moving and the first night at my new homeFriday 12.03.1999: that workday did seem to have no end for Mistress. After work she goes home to take Lucky for a short walk. When I see Mistress I pad towards her knowing she will take me with her today. In the kitchen Mistress takes care of the last formalities and I get my very first collar. I feel very chick with it and Mistress packs my blanket and toy, smelling like mommy and the siblings, in to the car and we take our leave Mistress took the drivers seat and I rode with Ex-Master (this is a different story and not my place to tell) in the back. Since Mistress knew I might get sick during my first trip in the car she had an extra blanket and loads of paper towels ready. I loved car-rides from the beginning. First I looked out the window but soon fell asleep. A first car ride without complications and I did not get sick either. Arriving at my new home I was the unchallenged "queen"of my kingdom. Lucky was respectful from the start. He vacated every spot I choose to lay down. The first night was as uneventful as the first car-ride. Mistress had put a crate next to the bed and placed my blanket over a hot water bottle in it since she had read that this would help me not feeling so lonely. I did not really like to be put in the crate at first. But Mistress insisted that it was for my security. I would not be able to do any mischief and she would now when I had to go outside. She placed her skiing trousers (which she bought especially since she had just been sick) on top of the crate, her shoes and my leash next to it. We all went to bed and I started to miss my family something fierce. I started to whine and Mistress talked softly to me and put her finger in the crate. That comforted me and I dropped of to sleep. I slumbered till morning. Because now I really had to go to the bathroom Mistress got dressed really quickly and scooped me up. At the door she got into her jacked and then carried me onto the grass. I took care of business and Mistress praised me a lot. Besides I never had to go at night ...
